I did not have parsley, and added extra cilantro. I did use lime infused olive oil to fry up the burger as I have a number of different infused oils and vinegars. My cauliflower was already frozen/topped into tiny pieces-Costco.
I planned to refrigerate the burgers for a day, but it ended up being a few days. Burgers kept together – I was alright with that, my partner liked the idea of a firmer burger, so he suggested to add an egg next time.

I was tempted to fry it right away because it wa holding together but I waited and had it chill in the fridge.

They turned out great and delicious! Perfect. The only thing I will change next time is to add a bit more red pepper flakes… we like it spicy.

Am turning our family dinners on Sundays meat-free and they all love it, thanks Kate!

Followed directions, mashed mashed mashed and refrigerated before cooking on outdoor griddle. Stayed formed, no problem. Topped with LT and pickled jalapeños. Served on Naan. Nice change from traditional black bean burgers.

Next time though, I will mash or pulse the chickpeas separately, as they didn’t break down easily once mixed with the other ingredients.

Hi Amy! They should last in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. I don’t freeze all my recipes, but I believe some other readers have. Let me know how it works for you.

Since there are so many, I was curious how long they would stay good in the refrigerator or if I should freeze a few. Thanks!

I used 1 can chickpeas and I can white navy beans as that’s what I had on hand. I also skipped the cilantro and added adobo pepper. The kitchen was a bit of a mess making these but it was worth it for a healthy meal. Served with spicy mayo and roasted asparagus spears.
