Spring is in full force in Oklahoma. Ruthless winds have battered the flowering branches I’ve admired for weeks and the heat is rising. Cookie is sprawled out on the cool wood floor after [stealing and] scarfing down three quarters of a stick of butter this morning. My butter ball and I are not looking forward to 95 degree weather this weekend.
Before we head out for our weekend adventures, I thought I’d share some snaps of our recent walk through the neighborhood. The vibrant pink, purple and magenta hues and delicate textures are inspiring me to inject some color into my wardrobe!

I love your photos Kate. And anything mentioning or showing Cookie makes me smile. The pinks are beautiful! Hope the weekend finished off well! It’s Autumn here in Australia although some days the heat is still reminiscent of summer. But there are cool breezes in the shades and at night which I adore. I’ve also started smelling some flowers blooming – I must find out what they are called.
