First things first! Cookie and Kate is hiring a local kitchen assistant. We’re in Kansas City. After five years of doing it all myself, I’m so excited to bring on some help. Details here! Also on that front, if you’ve noticed the site loading slowly lately, it should be fixed now. Growing pains. :)
As the temperatures near 100, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite cold treats. Cocktails, ice cream, frozen yogurt and popsicles galore! Most are fresh, fruity and naturally sweetened, too. What are you craving?

What a lovely collection of recipes!
And congratulations on things going so well you’re searching for an assistant! Absolutely deserved, your blog is my go-to recipe blog, never made something that didn’t turn out delicious. My bf loves meat, but your recipes never fail to make him happy, too.
It crossed my mind before that you can clearly see in your blog how much you’ve grown, recipe- and photography-wise. Your recipes are getting more and more original, your photos are getting better and better, and your recipes have a clear signature. I don’t exactly know what it is, but you have a distinct style of cooking, one that really suits me.
So, thank you for all your wonderful recipes, and I’m excited to learn things are getting so well you’re expanding business by hiring an assistant!
Kate
Thank you, sweet Evelyn! I really appreciate your kind words. Delighted that you both enjoy my recipes!!!

Hi Kate,
If I didn’t live in California, I would apply to be your assistant in a heartbeat! Good luck with the search and hope you find a person with as much passion and appetite for healthy food as yourself.
I made your Quinoa Broccoli Salad with Honey-Mustard dressing this week. Delicious! Again, every recipe I have tried of yours is always a winner.
Kate
Thank you so much, Anna! Your comment really brightened my day. I wish you lived in town!!!

Seriously, I need to invest in an ice-cream maker! Love this round up, the only recipe I’ve tried are your berry popsicles (awesome!), so it looks like I have some cocktails to make this weekend…!
Kate
I love my ice cream maker! Hope you get one soon! Glad to hear you enjoyed those popsicles. Cheers!
