I made these tonight with a few substitutions. I swapped spelt flour for the whole wheat, coconut oil for the butter and a flax egg for the egg to make these vegan. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, that should work! I used whole wheat pastry flour because it’s milled more finely than regular whole wheat but I think they will be very good with plain whole wheat flour, too.
