I hope you’ll try growing lovage this year. It is a perennial and has no bad habits! Even if you don’t garden, this herb is no work! The stems are hollow so some people like to drink their Bloody Mary’s through them…since the plant is celery like. You’ll love the smell and taste. I dry it for Winter use and made wonderful vinegar with it as well. I love learning new things and learned today that nutritional yeast is good in soup. I’ll gonna try that! All the best to Cookie, like my dog Dalai…they are are number one fans!

I’ve never heard of alpine soup or lovage soup! Quite intrigued by your lovage idea. Cookie is doing well, but she has one stubborn lymph node and we’re investigating further options.
