The holiday season is here! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Practically everything on the internet is on sale today, so I’m sharing my annual holiday gift guide to help you find the good stuff. Let’s stay home, bake some cookies and cross those gifts off the list!
I’m as particular with product recommendations as I am with my recipes, and I can vouch that these are truly gift-worthy.
The links below are affiliate links, which means I’ll get a small commission if you purchase through my links (at no cost to you). Thank you for supporting Cookie and Kate. I’ll be back soon with more recipes!
Gifts for the Cook
- Love Real Food: My cookbook makes a great gift! Give it to the vegetable enthusiasts, the dog lovers, and everyone who might benefit from more wholesome recipes in their life.
- Le Creuset 5.5-Quart Dutch Oven: This heirloom-quality cookware lasts forever, and I swear it makes food taste better.
- Measuring Spoons: My favorite measuring spoons, which fit easily into spice jars.
- Mini Instant Pot Pressure Cooker: I just got the mini-sized Instant Pot. It’s perfect for cooking reasonable amounts of beans, rice, etc.
- Cuisinart Food Processor: This is the Goldilocks of food processors. Not too big, not too small.
- Love and Lemons Meal Record and Market List: This menu planner is both beautiful and helpful!
- Fine Grater: Easily remove zest from citrus and make fine cheese and chocolate shavings with this grater.
- Inspiralizer: Turn your veggies into veggie noodles with this well-made device.
- Vitamix Blender: This blender can do everything you need and comes with a 7-year warranty. I picked this one because I prefer the taller shape of their original blender containers.
Gifts for the Baker
- Oven Mitts: These polka-dotted oven mitts have a layer of silicone for extra protection.
- Measuring Spoons: My favorite measuring spoons, which fit easily into spice jars.
- Maldon Salt: This flaky sea salt is the perfect finishing touch.
- Measuring Cups: Love these stainless steel measuring cups.
- Fiesta Loaf Pan: This loaf pan is so pretty and bakes evenly.
- KitchenAid Hand Mixer: This hand-held mixer can do almost everything.
- Scale: This digital scale makes precise measurements easy.
- Vermont Farm Table Rolling Pin: My favorite rolling pin, made in America.
- KitchenAid Stand Mixer: This cute green mixer is available at a great discount right now!
Cozy Gifts for the Homebody
- Velvet Slippers: These affordable slippers are cozy and cute. They even wash well (delicate cycle, air dry)!
- Monogram Mug: Love these cute black and white monogrammed mugs. (Here’s another fun option.)
- OXO Adjustable Temp Kettle: This gooseneck kettle is perfect for the coffee or tea lover in your life! The inside is made entirely of stainless steel (no plastic parts touch the water).
- Osmia Organics Soap: I love Osmia’s natural products, and their soaps are gorgeous, smell amazing and last forever. My favorite scent is Vetiver Grey.
- Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer: This hair dryer is worth it if you have curly hair, thick hair, or hate the sound of loud hair dryers. It’s so small that it fits perfectly in my suitcase for domestic travel (it’s not dual voltage so that’s a bummer for international trips).
- Voluspa Candles (or diffusers): These candles smell amazing and offer a very long burning time. I love Mokara’s floral, but non-irritating scent, and Baltic Amber’s warm fragrance. The diffusers are nice for small spaces like bathrooms.
- Bath Caddy: My boyfriend got me this great bathtub caddy. It’s perfect for reading books or browsing from a regular-sized iPad.
- Herbivore Bath + Body Ritual Kit: These natural products smell so lovely and look great by the tub.
- Smartwool Socks: These don’t look like much but I’m obsessed with these thin wool socks. They’re perfect underneath boots and booties.
Gifts for the Lovely Lady
- J.Crew Cocoon Coat: I link to this warm, chic coat every year! It comes in beautiful colors—I bought my royal blue coat at least five years ago and it still looks great.
- Everlane Cashmere Sweaters and Silk Blouses: Beautiful, high quality tops without the markup. I especially love this mockneck and this silk button-up. They make cashmere scarves, too!
- Patagonia Women’s Radalie Jacket: This warm jacket fits into a tiny yoga cubby and looks more chic than most puffy jackets (available in other colors/sizes here).
- Longchamp Le Pliage Neo Large Nylon Tote: This bag is the perfect size for my MacBook and more, zips shut for security, stays put over the handle of my carry-on, and fits under the seat.
- M.Gemi Cerchio Velvet Sneakers: I am so impressed by this company’s line of chic Italian-made shoes, and I can’t get enough of this comfy sneaker style.
- Machete Hoops: Love these lightweight hoops! They come in tons of colors and sizes; see more here.
- TenOverTen Nail Polish in Carmine 002: The most perfect shade of medium red, free of the worst nail polish chemicals.
- Adidas Lux Running Shoe: I’ve been walking Cookie in these lately, and love that I can just pull them on.
- Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil: If you need some extra help this winter, this oil is awesome. It soaks in quickly and makes my skin happy!
Extra-Special Gifts for the Sentimental
- Fuji Instax Classic Camera: This is a modern Polaroid camera that prints 2×3″ photos. Don’t forget to buy film, too!
- Pressed Glass Photo Frames: The 4×6″ size is perfect for displaying a vertical Instax photo.
- Sierra Winter “Mama” Necklace (or bracelet): This sweetest jewelry for moms made by a local jewelry designer.
- Artifact Uprising Photos: This company makes the most beautiful photo prints and display options. I love their easel calendar and photo display boxes.
- Fujifilm X-T20 Camera with 18-55mm Lens: Love this small, lightweight digital camera. It takes beautiful photos.
- Fujinon XF27mmF2.8: The kit lens is wonderful, but this tiny lens makes the camera even more portable.
- LayeredAndLong personalized jewelry: I bought Ali a necklace with the location coordinates of her wedding, and it’s so pretty.
- Legacy Box: My mom just used this company to scan old family videos and photos into digital format. So fun!
Happy holidays from Cookie and Kate! ♥

Kate, Thank you so much for the great gift guide list. Thanksgiving has just passed and I have started to think about Christmas and New Year gifts for my loved ones. It caused me a headache. Your list is really great deal but could you recommend some gift for litte ones, 5-to-12-years-old kids ? Thank you again.
Kate
Hi Sophie! I’m glad you love this guide. Sorry I don’t have any recommendations for little ones right now.
Molly Steffen
That soap looks amazing. Do you recall approximately how long it lasts? Trying to decide if I can justify the cost;).
Kate
It is amazing! I keep mine on a soap keeper (something to set it on to keep it out of moisture) and I’ve had bars last for several months in the shower. It’s worth it to me!
Jennifer
Love this gift guide! I’m definitely asking for a copy of your book for Christmas :)
Kate
Love that! I hope you get it and love it!
Susan
I actually just ordered the Patagonia jacket, because I will need something for a trip we have planned. Unfortunately Nordstrom didn’t have the color I wanted in my size.
Kate
Bummer!
Diane
Hi Kate
Can you please recommend a soup ladle you really love.
Thanks so much.
Love browsing your holiday picks.
Kate
Hi Diane, thanks for your note! If you’re interested in a beautiful wooden ladle (hand wash only and baby it), this one is lovely. Other than that, I’ve seen some lovely stainless steel ladles made by All Clad.
Diane
Thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me.
The wooden ladle looks gorgeous.
Just what I need.
Thank you kindly.
Maxwell Gottlieb
Hi Kate,
I really enjoy your blog. I was just wondering which recipe plugin you use. I wanted to start a food blog and am trying to decide whether to splurge on Tasty Recipes. I’ve experimented with Zip Recipes. Easy Recipes does not work well anymore and seems outdated.
Kate
Hi Maxwell! I use Tasty Recipes and customized the templates myself. I love it. I honestly haven’t kept up with the other options to know what’s available these days.
Ailsa lena
Hi Kate!
I have always admired your site, Thanks for the great tips and work .
Kate
Well, thank you!
Jackie
I just bought your cookbook and I am so excited!!!!!! I love everything you wrote about nutrition in there; how not eating right is the cause of so many diseases. if you haven’t ever watched Food Matters documentaries, please do!
Kate
Thank you for your support! I can’t wait to hear what your favorites are!
Kate
Thank you!

Kate
It’s a great jacket!
Diane
Hi Kate,
I’m not sure if you saw my question a few days ago.
Could you please recommend a good soup ladle?
I love all your ideas!
Thank you kindly.
Kate
Hi Diane! I don’t have one top of mind. What are you looking for? Mine is a standard stainless one.
Diane
Hi Kate,
I guess a stainless one that is not too large is what I am looking for.
I always find that the ones I see in the stores seem so big.
Thank you,
What brand do you prefer?
BTW- I love your cookbook, I made the butternut squash chipotle chili and Moroccan butternut, chickpea, and couscous stew. They were both spot on! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you for such wholesome ingredients with tons of flavor!
Denise Stefanisin
Great gift guide! I need to order those measuring spoons.
Enjoy New Orleans and Happy Birthday! I have never been there but my husband went several years ago and raved about a restaurant called Olivier’s in the French Quarter I believe.
I am sure there are many great restaurants to choose from there! I need to travel there sometime soon!
Kate
Thank you and thank you!
Olga
please recommend a great garlic press, I’ve gone thru maybe 5 that were not great, looking for one to last longer than 1 year, that actually works! do those exist?
Kate
Yes! I love mine. Check it out on my shop page!https://cookieandkate.com/healthy-kitchen-essentials/
